Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and faced problems to drinking water, according to local authorities.

Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has demanded "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and implementing penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets struck the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced intense attacks during nighttime hours. A young boy died and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks succeed evenings of air raids in the area, portions of which remain under the control of invading troops.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were bracing for additional strikes.
